  Dr. Chuck Hiatt is a graduate of University of Sioux Falls (B.A.), Sioux Falls Seminary (M Div.), and Arizona State University (PhD.). He has been married to Janelle since 1969 and they have three adult children and seven grandchildren. Chuck served as a pastor for 7 years in Brandon SD and Emery SD. He worked for 23 years at Sioux Falls Seminary in fund development roles (5 years) and as President for 18 years. He served as President of the Good Samaritan Foundation in Sioux Falls from 2002 to 2015. Upon retirement in May 2015, he launched Hiatt Strategic Consulting, LLC a focused consulting service aimed at helping churches and charities become better through strategic planning and funding using the alignment process (aligning daily activities and fundraising goals with mission, vision and values). In 2020 Tim Hiatt joined HSC as a part-time partner. 

  Since 1999 Chuck has consulted on a part-time basis with churches and charities while doing full-time strategic planning and fundraising professionally at Sioux Falls Seminary and the Good Samaritan Foundation. During his nearly 13 years at the Foundation, Chuck led a staff of 16 who consulted with 240 locations to map strategic plans that led to raising a total of $172.6 million from 2002 until 2015. Since 2015 HSC has led several successful campaigns in the Sioux Falls area

  Tim Hiatt is a graduate of the University of Sioux Falls (B.A.). He has been married to Melissa since 1993 and they have two adult children. Tim has worked in Sioux Falls since his graduation from USF in 1993. He worked at USF, first as an Admissions Counselor for five years, and then another four years in Marketing and Athletics as the Sports Information Director. After leaving USF, he worked for three years as an Account Executive for Midcontinent Radio/Backyard Broadcasting (KELO AM & FM/KRRO/KTWB/KWSN). Since 2005, Tim has been the Media Advancement Director for Life 96.5/Faith 1270 in the Sioux Empire. In addition to his full-time job, Tim has been the radio color voice of USF Football since 2001.  Since 2005, Tim has been responsible for the major donor fundraising efforts at Life 96.5 radio in Sioux Falls. Tim’s main responsibility has been maintaining relationships with a portfolio of around 150 major donors, as well as securing major gifts and matching funds in advance of the Fall on-air fundraiser each year. In 15 years, Tim has raised $3 million in lead gifts prior to the Fall fundraisers, including a 450% annual increase over the first 10 years. Tim is a gifted writer and has planned and hosted thank you concerts and receptions for major donors several times a year.
